Churro French Toast Sticks

Inspired by none other than the Churro Stand outside of the Haunted Mansion. They are hauntingly good and so simple!

Ingredients:


  • 3 slices of Brioche Bread- cut into sticks about an inch wide

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 cup of milk

  • 1/4 cup of turbinado sugar (or regular sugar)

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • Pinch of salt

  • Cinnamon powder


Directions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk 2 eggs, milk, vanilla, salt, and a few dashes of cinnamon.

  2. In a skillet on medium heat, add butter and allow to melt. While butter is melting, take brioche sticks and dip each side in the mixture for about 10 seconds. Add to skillet and cook until golden brown, flip and do the same on the other side.

  3. On a plate with a rim, add sugar and a few big dashes of cinnamon (more to your liking). As soon as the French toast sticks come out of the oven, dip them on both sides in the sugar mixture.

  4. Serve the toast sticks with syrup, or the apple cider Carmel sauce from the beignets.
