Hatch Chile Hot Wings

Easy and down right delicious! The perfect recipe for Super Bowl Sunday!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of drumstick chicken wings

  • 1 pound of chicken wings

  • 1 jar of Medium Hatch Roasted Red Chile Sauce

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 2 tablespoons of Hatch Red Spice Blend

  • 2 tablespoons of baking powder

  • 1 tablespoon of paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/4 cup Hatch Green Chile Roast

  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. These are also amazing in an #airfryer

  2. In a gallon size @ziploc bag, add chicken, hatch spice blend, paprika, and baking powder. Zip bag and shake to evenly coat the chicken.

  3. Place wings on a rack on top of a baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes in the oven.

  4. While wings are baking, let’s make a scrumptious sauce. In a sauce pan on medium heat, add the Medium Hatch Roasted Red Chile Sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, and the hot sauce. Cook until a slight simmer and then reduce heat to low. Add butter and stir.

  5. Once wings have baked for 40 minutes, remove from oven and brush sauce over the wings. Place wings back in oven for 5 minutes, brush again, and put back in oven for 5-7 more minutes. Wings should be gooey, sticky, and shiny when ready.

  6. In a small bowl, mix sour cream and Hatch Green Chile Roast. Drizzle on top of wings as a garnish or use as a dipping sauce. Wings are also great served with blue cheese dressing.
